Best performance
A sports fanatic, Julien’s career has always centred around becoming a professional athlete, effectively turning sailing into his profession. An all-round sailor, he is as much at ease inshore as he is offshore, and he can adapt to single-handed as well as crewed sailing. With a keen interest in the strategic aspect of sailing, Julien has been specialising in weather and routing for several years. His contribution to François Gabart’s Antoine de Saint-Exupéry Trophy solo round the world record under sail in a time of 42 days, 16 hours, and 40 minutes, held since December 2017, is especially notable. A recent arrival to the team, Julien is a talented sailor with vast experience, evidenced by his double-handed Transat victory in May 2021, along with three Tour de France à la Voile titles in 2012, 2013 and 2019.
